Martha was born in Germany, where she and husband Edward met and were married. Martha was a dedicated mother and delighted in the accomplishments of her children: Thomas (Lisa) Chute, Claudia (Pat) Garhofer, and Sandra Bebeau, and grandchildren: Jackie (Ryan) Lohonen, Brad Chute, Sheena McPheeters, Colleen (Jerid) Robinson, Abigail (Chris) Butteris, Stefanie Chute (Luis Hernandez), Kaylee Bebeau, Ryan Bebeau, and Jake Garhofer, and great grandchildren: Ayden, Elle, Houston, Ayden, Ollie, and Maxx.
Martha never met a stranger or anyone she couldn’t talk to (especially if there was a German connection). Her laugh filled any room, no matter what size, especially when she visited with her sister Margaret “Gretel.” Martha was always thoughtful; you could bet that when she saw you, she would have something to pull out of her purse to share with you (maybe an article she read that made her think of you, something she had knit for you, some small trinket, or a snack if you were hungry!). Religion and faith were dearly important to Martha, and she generously shared these with her children and grandchildren. Martha was unselfish with her love, and always knew when to pray with you, listen to you, or provide you with a comforting hug or word of encouragement.
