Marvin August Jackson, Jr.

Passed away on April 6, 2013. He was born the son of Marvin A. & Amy E. (Johnson) Jackson on October 22, 1927 in Stillwater, MN. Throughout his working life, he was an entrepreneur, founding several businesses including Jackson Ambulance, and later, Jackson Medical. Marvin was an MTC driver for many years; he would later teach most of his grandchildren to drive. He became a Master Manager with EcoQuest International. He loved life and was a true family man. His selflessness and his generous, helping nature will be greatly missed.Marvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy (nee Harrington); eight children: Dan Jackson (Denise), Sandra Ewald (Jerry), Jim Jackson (Linda), Mike Jackson (Nata), Charmane Seitzberg (Stig), Dale Jackson (Brenda), Doug Jackson (Sharon), Jon Jackson (Melissa); many grand & great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Jackson (Donna); extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marvel Goetschel & Pauline Hollen; and first his wife, Delores L. Jackson (nee Reisinger). A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Marvin’s life at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 10 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior. Private interment at a later date in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
