Matthew Thy Do passed away suddenly on 2/6/18 at the age of 23. Matt was born to Susan (Billings) and Thy Do on 9/11/94. He joined his Sister, Elizabeth, and Brother, Micheal, as the 5th member of our family. He was close to his Parents, Siblings, Grandparents and others in our family.
Growing up in Mounds View, he met some of his best friends and developed a passion for sports - especially wrestling and football. In middle school, he started wrestling at Irondale Sr HS with his Brother and did so until his graduation in 2013. He attended college at MSU – Mankato and enlisted in the MN Army National Guard. He served as an Infantryman in the 34th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 135th Infantry and deployed to Egypt in 2016. He was a member of Sigma Nu.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 2/17/18 from 12-4pm at Abiding Savior, 8211 Red Oak Drive in Mounds View. Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
