Michael David McDonald

Michael was born on February 4, 1935 in St. Paul to Harold and Geneva McDonald. He graduated from Harding High School. He worked at Burlington Northern for many years, and then for Securian Financial as a building and maintenance engineer before retiring.

He married Yvonne McDonald in 1965. They were married 58 years before her passing in 2023.

Michael had a Ford 9N tractor that he fully restored and used on their property in Wabasha, MN, where they had two different trailers and built a cabin where they enjoyed spending time with the family.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; granddaughter Alexis; brothers Patrick (Rosie) and Harold (Barbara) McDonald; and brother-in-law Paul Pitzen.

Michael is survived by children Joe (Liz), Robert, Kelly, and Michael McDonald; grandchildren Jonathan, Theresa, Isaiah, and Tracy; great grandchildren Josiah, Michael, Jayden, Maddison, and Jeremiah; and sister Bonita Pitzen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 am, with a visitation one hour prior, at Wulff Funeral Home, St. Paul, MN. Private burial at Union Cemetery.
