Age 88

A devoted follower and servant of the Lord Jesus, went home to be with his Savior Sunday, March 27, 2011. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lila (nee Bateman); parents, Herman and Dora; sisters, Laura (Rudy) Messerli, Dorothy (Don) Lockhart; brothers, Evart and Lawrence. Survived by his son, Jim; grandchildren, April (Dave) Wyland, Tara, Ryan and Kyle; great grandchildren, Dominick, Tucker, Cooper, Nova; sisters-in-law, Betty (Thomas) Gooch, Shirley Burtman, Joan Bateman and Melva Bateman; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ralph courageously served in the Navy during World War II on a destroyer in the North Atlantic. He was a retired employee of the Ramsey County Budget and Accounting Office. He was an incredibly wonderful and generous father,husband, and grandfather. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8pm, at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul. Funeral Service Thursday, 11am, at Hayden Heights Baptist Church, 1845 Hyacinth Ave. E., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior.Interment Union Cemetery.
