IN THE CARE OF

T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel

We are saddened to announce that Earl Daniel King, age 94, passed away peacefully at the Northside General Hospital on June 17, 2020. Earl was born on September 8, 1925 to the late Thomas and Eva (Tobin) King of Sydney Mines and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived and will be missed by his family children, Earl (Roddie), Joe (Edwin), Eddie, Billy, Sarah (Jamie), Yvonne, Marie (Elbie), Lucy (Blair), Mildred (David), Betty (Buddie) and Josie, as well as sister-in-law, Sarah, and numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Ruthie; son, Robert; grandson, Eddie Jordan; one sister, Hilda, and five brothers, Tom, Art, Cyril, Michael and Henry; sons-in-law, George and Eddy. Earl started out his working life in the Pitt in Donkin where he remained for many years until his health forced him to find work elsewhere. He was a simple man, who enjoyed the simple things in life. Time spent with family and puttering around the house. He especially enjoyed his outings, going shopping, getting ice cream or simply going for a drive. Earl will be laid to rest beside his wife in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Big Bras d’Or with a private family gathering. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.twcurry.com If desired, donations in Earl’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Dr. McKeough and the staff of Northside General Hospital’s 3rd and 4th floor for the love shown to Earl during his stay.
