It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Michael Edmond MacDougall who passed away on September 5th at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born to the late Michael Edmond and Jeanette MacDougall on May 1, 1961.
Ed spent 27 years working in the Canadian Navy and experienced many adventures and experiences. Those he shared were told with humour and wisdom. Following his retirement from the Navy, Ed also worked for a number of years with Marine Atlantic. One of the most remarkable things about Ed was his big heart. He was always willing to lend a hand when needed and often went out of his way to do so.
Ed enjoyed trying new things, traveling and he was always up for an adventure. He also enjoyed music, going to concerts, or hanging out at Steel City or the Legion.
Ed is survived by his wife Sheena, son Conner, daughter Shea, grandson Ryder and many friends most notably Harry, John, Craig, Gary, Amy and Mark.
Family will receive guests from 12 until 1pm with a Funeral Service taking place at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 16th all at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St. Sydney.
