Sean Wilfred Clair

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on September 27, 2026, of our beloved Uncle, Brother, Nephew, and friend Sean Wilfred Clair. Sean was the son of late Mary Sandra Ann Clair and stepson of the late John Joseph Herney.

Sean was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Leonard Clair and Margaret Mae Clair (Simon). He was also predeceased by his sister, Tanya Marie Clair, brother Malcolm Herney, great niece Anya Marie Clair Gloade, maternal uncle Joseph Harry Clair, (twins), aunts and uncles on his stepfather’s side Margaret Herney, Matilda Marr, Dianne Herney, and Peter Herney, Oboy Louis Herney, Roy Herney and his godmother Rose Augustine.

Sean is survived and will be dearly missed by his niece Sharona Lynn Clair-Gloade, great nephew/godson Kyrell Gloade, and great niece Mary Kysandra Gloade, sister Anne Francis and brother Nicholas Herney. Also surviving are maternal uncle/godfather Joseph Clair (Gloria Johnson-Clair), aunt Eva Augustine (Gary), aunts Linda Dennis, Charlotte Clair, aunty Mary Johnson (Joseph) as well as aunts and uncles on his stepfather’s side Mary Agnes, Deborah Marr, and William M Herney, godchildren Kyrell Gloade and Nikaylyn Lafford and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also loved ones Aria Bernard, Kyanne Paul, Annie Marshall and Alfred Marshall. Sean was everyone’s Uncle Sean.

Sean was someone who loved the simple pleasures of life such as a nice drive, listening to music, watching WWE, Sailor Moon and Pokemon.

A wake will be held at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni on Thursday, October 8th starting at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be held at 10am on Saturday October 10th at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cheyenne Levi, all of the staff at Eskasoni Health Centre, his doctors, Dr. Marshall and the foot care team. The love that you all have shown to Sean has been felt and appreciated.
