It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our beloved, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Thomas Michael Johnson, who passed away on October 17, 2026. Born to the late John T and Dr. Granny Margaret Johnson on January 7, 1956.
Most of all Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, but he also enjoyed watching his beloved Toronto Bluejays, Curling and poker. He worked as a deckhand for Crane Cove Seafood, but he was also well known within Eskasoni for his woodsman skills and his craftsmanship was enjoyed by many families.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, children Adam, Bryan (Carla Jean), Sheena, Brittany, Rebecca, Stephen John, Thomas Jr. (Tuma), Connie Francis, 30 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his only godchild, Blaire Francis. He is also survived by siblings Lottie Johnson, Patricia Dennis, Gerald Johnson, Gerard Johnson, Derek Johnson and Carol Marshall. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his son Charles, granddaughter Janet and siblings Arthur Julian, Albert Julian, Ralph Julian, Joan Marshall, Mary Googoo, Elizabeth Paul, Prentice Johnson and Linda Moore.
Visitation will take place at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting on Sunday, Oct. 25th at 7pm and continuing until the start of the Mass which will be held at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni at 10:00am on Tuesday, Oct. 27th with Fr.
