 I am always saddened by the thought grandma will no longer be with us. It is from this sadness that a feeling of gratitude emerges. I feel honored to have known her and blessed that her passing serves as a reminder to me that my time on this beautiful earth is limited and that I should seize the opportunity I have to forgive, share, explore, and love. I can't think of no greater way to honor you than to live this way!

Adela, you always made me feel welcomed and loved.  Your laughter and joi de vivre were infectious. I hope you always knew how many people loved you and were energized by your presence. You will always be kept alive in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace my sweet Adela.

I met Adela and her family when I was about 3 years old.  She babysat for me sometimes and I remember her so fondly.  She laughed often, this big giant laugh, and if I think really hard, I can still hear it.  She also taught me how to tie my shoes!  She cared so deeply for her family and it showed in how she took care of them.  Regretfully it has been many years since we've had contact, but those years on Stewart Avenue in Baldwin Park will always live on in my heart.  Bless you Adela and may your spiritual journey be as joyous as you always were.
