

FARFANTE, Angel, 84, native and lifelong resident of Tampa, passed away on March 5, 2024. Angel was married to his beloved wife Norma Irene for 63 years. He was the loving father of son Dino (Linda), daughter Dana (David), and son Darren (Evelyn). He was Abuelo to his seven grandchildren: Stephen, Matthew, Lucas, Angelina, Max, Spencer, and Silvia, and great granddaughter Lylianna. Angel was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco (“Paco”) and Silvia and his brother, Frank (“Sonny”) Farfante. Angel (“Nene”) graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help (“OLPH”) School and the University of Florida. He retired from a successful 47-year career in the phosphate shipping and export industry. Angel was very active for many years in industry associations Traffic Club of Tampa and the Propeller Club of Tampa, serving on the Board of Directors and as President.
Angel was born April 21, 1939, in Ybor City. He and his wife Norma went to their first dance together in the 9th grade and their lifelong love and commitment was an inspiration to many. They were great dancers together winning the Cha Cha contest in the Boom Boom room of the Fountaine Bleau on their honeymoon in Miami Beach. He shared a lifetime of love with his family and cherished his many lifelong friendships. He had a wonderful disposition and an infectious laugh that will always be lovingly remembered.
A visitation for Angel will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at St Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 18, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 5225 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. A graveside service will occur Monday, March 18, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Centro Espanol Memorial Park Cemetery 4601 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610
