Barry Otto Boles 88 passed away December 13, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. Born on October 9, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry and Gertrude Boles. He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Carol, his parents, and three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by son Bill Anderson Jr and his husband Rob Haskins, daughter Bobbi Hill and her husband Gregory Hill, his two grandchildren Christopher and Caroline Hill, brother Larry Boles, his sisters Sharry Taylor and Lee Dusing, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews.
He is a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed driving open roads especially his drive to Alaska, visiting national parks, photography, cooking, coin collecting, amateur ham radio, auto racing, and being a grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to Life Path Hospice, Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation, or American Legion Post 138 in South Tampa.
A visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Blount & Curry Life Event Center, located at 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 19, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
A committal service with military honors is scheduled for December 19, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
