Betty Riccardi passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She was born on August 14, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, to Charles and Mary Slavik.
Betty was raised in New York and remained a dedicated New York Yankee fan throughout her life. She went on to build a career as an administrative assistant in the banking industry, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. One of the memories that she shared often about her career was the opportunity she received a flight on the Concorde in recognition of her outstanding performance.
Betty married the love of her life John and together they shared decades of dedication, romance and travel. They took their two sons John and Mark on many fantastic adventures abroad creating memories that will be cherished. Betty had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and treasured every opportunity to be with her family during their many adventures.
Some of her greatest joy and proudest moments came with the births of her four grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. Nicole and Tyler, the children of John and Kim, and Allison and Cole, the children of Mark and Sheri, were truly a source of great pride and love. She took every opportunity to spend time with them and delighted in spoiling her beloved grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, John Riccardi; her sons, John Riccardi (Kim) of Tampa, Florida, and Mark Riccardi (Sheri) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her four cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Carroll; her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Carroll and Jeanette Riccardi; as well as extended family members and dear friends.
Betty will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her ability to bring joy to those around her. She was truly loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
