I think of Carolyn all the time!  May Greg and Michele find peace and cherish the memories of all the good times had. Rest In Peace!

I was so saddened to learn that Carolyn had passed away.  I have so many treasured memories of her and the times we spent together all our lives!

My sweet grandmother. I will always cherish our good times and your laugh. 

Grandma, I will miss kissing your soft cheeks. Even though I used to try and take your make-up off. It was done out of love. You were and always will be truly a special woman. You had a smile that could light a room, and I will truly miss listening to you make up Rhymes and songs out of simple conversation.
I know you’re smiling down from better place, sitting with grandpa and many other loved ones we have lost over the years.  Even though you’re in a better place, you will be truly missed Grandma.

Although I have not seen Carolyn in many years, I was saddened to read of her passing today.  Her husband, Charles, was my first cousins and when I was a young girl I spent many hours at their home on Brooklyn Terrace in Americus, GA. I remember when both Greg and Michelle were born.  

Charles’ daddy, Wilbur, and my daddy, G.C., were two of six brothers in a very close-knit family. I had the pleasure of being at almost all of our family get-togethers-both in Georgia and Florida. Boy, what fun we would have!  Both of my parents adored Charles and Carolyn.  I did, too.  

Greg and Michelle, I send love and prayers to both of you and your families. Your Mama was indeed mighty special and will indeed be waiting to see you both one day in Heaven. What a joyous time that will be!  I know she is now reunited with many loved ones who are rejoicing with her. 

God bless you always is my prayer. We may lives miles apart, but we are still connected by one common heartstring- that of our family.

There are a few people that you meet during your lifetime that are just extra special.  Carolyn and her husband Charles were just that type, and we feel blessed by their friendship. God gave Carolyn a beautiful singing voice which she used to uplift so many. Even though we had moved away from Florida and were not in direct contact with Carolyn these last few years, she holds a special place in our hearts. We have many fond memories which we will always cherish.  Our hearts and prayers go out for the family. To the family we would like to say, "Your mom/grandmother was a wonderful Christian lady and is now happy and well enjoying her beautiful heavenly home and will be there to welcome each of you when the time comes."

It's not an easy task finding the words to  explain just how special of a person my grandma was. Loving, kind, fiercely protective.. the list goes on. But if there is anything that is a testament to the type of person she was, it's the way her children love her.  I hope to be as wonderful of a mother to my children as she was to hers. 
She will truly be missed.

No matter what your age you always need your Mom



Mama was ready to go home. She was tired and longed for Daddy. Her last few years were tough. Her health was marginal her memory minimal but her feisty spirit was still intact.  Its a strange thing being left on earth without a parent.  I have my wife and children but with no parent to visit talk to get advise from leaves me feeling a little lonely. I have my memories and when I forget I have pictures, but nothing will ever replace a hug from my Mama.
