JIMENEZ, Dalia Corces, 81, passed away on Monday October 1, 2012. She was a member of Las Damas and worked in the teaching profession for 44 years. She was the principal at Jackson Heights, Thonotosassa, and Anderson Elementary, where she worked for 25 years. Dalia was preceded in death by her parents Cosme and Leonor Suarez Corces, sister Violet Lizarralde, and husband Gus Richard Jimenez. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Mankowski (David) and Holly Provance; former son-in-law Jeffrey Provance; stepdaughters Betty Jean O’Shaughnessy and Susan Shufelt (Mark); stepson Gus Richard Jimenez; grandchildren Heather Rivero (Luis), Brian Mankowski (Patrice), Hunter Provance, Summer Provance, Jay Cooper (Robin), Maggie Wiggins, and Sarah Wiggins; great grandchildren Landen Rivero, Avery Mankowski, Robert Cooper, and Gavin Cooper. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Centro Asturiano, 1913 N. Nebraska Avenue Tampa, FL 33602.
