PULLIAM, David M., 93, of Tampa passed away on March 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Thetis in 2003. Survivors include his son, Guy T. (Wenda) Tutterow Jr. of North Carolina, Mary C. Church of Massachusetts, and Jean E. Knight of Weeki Wachee; grandchildren, Tom, Tori, Ryan, Allison, Aaron, and Ashley and his nine great grandchildren. David was born on Feb. 15, 1925 in Wilson, NC to Venice and Eunice Pulliam. He grew up in Asheboro and graduated from High Point College. A WWII Army/Air Corp Veteran, David went on to work at the University of South Florida for more than 30 years. He was an active member of Wesley Memorial UMC and enjoyed the fellowship of the Saturday Morning Men's Group. We grieve while his spirit goes to a better place. David lives on because of what he taught us and what we teach others. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, March 14 at the Blount & Curry, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 15 at Wesley Memorial UMC, 6100 Memorial Hwy, Tampa followed by a luncheon and then internment at Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa. Flowers are accepted or donations can be sent to the church in David’s memory.
