

Schumann, Dolores Marie, 83 of Tampa passed away January 11, 2017. Survived by her husband of 65 years, Bud; her children, Greg and his wife Pattie of Philadelphia, Robert and his wife Terri of Palmyra NJ, and Paula Henneke and her husband Rob of Odessa, FL; brother, Francis Munizza and his wife Evelyn of Philadelphia; Proud Grandmother of Keith, Julie, Matthew, Kelly, Patrick, and Tyler and her 7 great grandchildren. Also predeceased by her grandson Gregory. A native of Philadelphia. Dolores has been a Tampa Bay resident for 20 years. Dolores graduated Frankford High School and went to work at the Philadelphia Quartz Company and the Philadelphia Naval Supply Center. She raised her family in the Fox Chase area of Philadelphia, and was a member of St. Cecelia’s parish, and quite active in church activities. She was known by many for her daily strolls through the neighborhood, as she loved walking to keep active. Dolores was active in the Boy Scouts as a den mother and spent a lot of her time attending various sporting events and rooting for her children, grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren’s teams. She loved to travel including a few of her favorite destinations, Portugal and Malta. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Homes, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in her memory.
