We will always remember Don's smile.  I think the photo almost captures it... perhaps a little more twinkle in his eye... Dad and I are so sorry that we were not able to make the trip to Tampa. You are all in our prayers... 

I was sorry to hear of Don's passing.  I know that he was well loved and I will remember him for his happy smile, welcoming ways and fun loving sense of humor.  He will be missed.   Much love and prayers to the family.

We were saddened to learn of Don’s passing.  We have known Don since we started bowling in the Kings and Queens bowling league in 1990. We always enjoyed his company and friendship over the years. We see Dan at the Senior bowling each week. We know that he will miss his Dad as they were inseparable and were always going somewhere together. He is surely in a better place with Jesus.
We want to express our deepest sympathy to all Don’s family. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

We were sad to hear of the death of a long time, dear friend, Don Koenig.  Although it’s been many years since we have seen one another, the memories will never be forgotten.  When Vern retired, he was always grateful for Don’s  invitation and gentle urging to join the Sr. Bowlers along with him.  It was the beginning of many good times and the making of many good friendships together that would never have been, had Don not reached out.   He lived his faith as Jesus wants us to....with kindness and concern for others.  We will miss Don, but never doubt we will see him again!

My heart just sank when I heard about Don's passing. I have many fond memories of him dating back to the 1970's with Boy Scout Troop 304 where he was the Committee Chairman. Don was such a kind person and always had time for the boys. I am also reminded of how he faithfully served on the First Reformed Church Consistory with my father. It is stunning to think of our losses this past year and Don's passing is just another terrible reminder of how losing him and others has so keenly impacted our church, our families, and community. I know there is nothing I can say to truly offer you comfort, but rest assured, he is in glory with our Heavenly Father as God works His sovereign plan for each of us in His own time. May God ease the sorrow of your loss and comfort you as only He can.
