

Romeo, Doris Elizabeth, 82, Seffner, peacefully passed away February 24, 2012, at Life Path Hospice in Sun City Center. She was a loving and faithful wife of 63 years to Dominic Romeo who preceded her in death. She is survived by Larry and wife Karen, Bob and wife Linda, Ron and wife Vanessa, Pam and husband Buddy and Don and wife Mary; 13 grandchildren, Laurie, Amy, Ryan, Julie, Trang, Steven, Terese, Mackenzie, Kaitlyn, Leighton, Donny, Colon, Abigail, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Norris Bedley. After raising and caring for four sons and a daughter, Doris was employed as a teacher’s aide at Mango Elementary School in Seffner, Florida for many years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Seffner where she was an active member of the choir. Doris kept herself very busy in retirement enjoying golf, sewing and quilting blankets for family and friends. She loved most to give back to the community knitting hats and blankets for cancer patients at K2G and baking cakes for Meals on Wheels. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly was a beautiful person, a wonderful wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will take place at 11a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Seffner, 1310 S. Kingsway Road. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, Development Department, 12973 N. Telecom Parkway, Suite 100, Temple Terrace, FL 33637 in Doris Romeo’s memory.
