

Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Ellis, 84, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on June 28, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. She was born to Thomas Dee and Mary Sam Wall on October 1, 1936 in Calhoun City, MS. She is preceded by her sisters, Mary Nell Spraberry and Robbie Ethel Wall. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ellis; brothers, Thomas Dee Wall, Jr. and William Frank Wall; sister, Nina Ruth Greenland; her sons, John (Cinda) and Jeffrey Phillips; her step-daughter, Lesa (Drew) Edwards; and her grandchildren. After graduating from college, Libby worked as a medical technologist for various blood banks throughout her career. She met her husband, Charles in Anchorage, Alaska at a bridge club where they enjoyed beating their opponents. After retirement, she moved to Birmingham, AL with her husband Charles where they lived for 19 years. Libby enjoyed art and traveling during her retirement, and was faithful to her church. Her life was marked by love and sacrifice for others, and she will be remembered with love by all of her family and friends.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Blount and Curry Oldsmar located at 6802 Silvermill Dr. Tampa, FL. 33635. Family will receive friends one hour prior. A graveside service will take place following the service at Sylvan Abbey at 1:30pm, located at 2853 Sunset Point Rd. Clearwater, FL. 33759.
