Venancia Esther Mendez, 89, passed away on September 11, 2022 in Tampa, FL. Esther was born on May 18, 1933 in Bejucal, Cuba to the late Maria Prieto Martel and Antonio Fontes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio Jesus Mendez, and her siblings Antonio Fontes and Juana Fontes Prieto. Esther is survived by her son, Antonio Mendez; granddaughter Rebecca Lucia Mendez; and daughter-in-law Stella Salcedo and her children Jaime and Melissa Murcia. A visitation will take place on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 10AM to 11:45AM at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:45AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL.
