Floyd Paul Juster passed peacefully on August 3, 2022 after a courageous battle against Parkinson's disease. A man of great character whose smile brought smiles to all of his friends, and whose humorous stories and songs filled the lives of all the many who had the opportunities to know him. His generosity of person and kindness of heart were always shared to make our lives happier. He gave us to feel his soft voice and care for us all. And so it always was and will be remembered.
His lifelong participation in Tampa was further filled with his graduations with friends from Plant High School and University of Florida but was most strongly and lovingly bonded in his devoted marriage to Sandy at their ceremony in Havana, Cuba, following Floyd's completion of his US Army service and where her Father was Ambassador from Nicaragua.
They returned to Tampa where Floyd became a leading citizen and businessman, becoming the vice president of Crown Life Insurance and then expanding himself and his business in Juster and Associates insurance where he consulted schools, businesses, universities, and private insurance needs. He was always trusted throughout our community in his business and as a member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, a member of Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club [where he frequently played, successfully, many rounds of golf], was a member of the University Club and the Center Club and a participant with Sandy in programs of the Tampa Museum of Art including being chosen to chair the annual Pavillian Xll celebration.
Floyd was preceded in life by his Father and Mother, Marty and Peggy Juster, and his sister Dolores Weintraub.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, his nephew Joseph Weintraub, and cousin Linda Fontana.
Donations to Tampa Museum of Art will be welcomed in Floyd's memory.
The Kind and generous spirit and memories of Floyd will continue to be shared at the Celebration Of Life to be held on August 16, at 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club.
