Grace Rose West

Grace was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 14th, 1925, to Mary and Robert Rose, and was 1 of 8 children. She married Bill West Jr. in 1950, and they settled in Tampa in 1960 where they raised their 4 children. She was widowed at 47 and dedicated the rest of her life to helping raise her grandchildren. Grace especially loved children and was happiest with a baby in her arms. She spent many years volunteering at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and attended Hyde Park United Methodist Church.

Grace is predeceased by her parents, siblings, husband, and granddaughter, Caroline West. She is survived by her children, Bill West (Tish), Jack West (Nancy), Cathy West Burkett (Jim), and Stan West (Lavern), along with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The family extends their gratitude to the hospice care team and the caregivers at Brookdale Bayshore, especially Dominique and Tracy.
