Gregory Norman Swanson

Greg was born on September 24th 1955 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Norman Swanson and Patricia Colson (Stenstrom.) He married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Duchac (Albert) in 1975 and welcomed 3 children into the world. He worked at American Motors for many years before getting his master’s in business and following his passion to build and create.

Greg was an accomplished entrepreneur and a very skilled carpenter and master of flooring, making many wonderful friends along the way. He had a great disposition and a huge heart. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting his entire life, instilling the same spark in his children.

Greg is survived by his mother, Patricia Colson, brothers, Mark Swanson and Norman Swanson. His daughter, Ami Dustan (Swanson), his son, Travis Swanson, and his granddaughters and grandson. Brandi Dustan, Riley Dustan, Piper Bramlett, River Swanson and his great granddaughter, Freya Dustan.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Norman Swanson, his sister, Kathleen Swanson, and his son, Shawn Swanson.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, October 24th between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Fl 33609. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gregory Swanson’s life.
