Ilsy Venegas

Ilsy Venegas passed away on March 26, 2023 in her home in Tampa, FL. She was 89 years old. Ilsy grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia where she obtained a masters degree in education. Ilsy was a proud mother of 4 children. Ilsys’ greatest love was her family, friends, and many pets.

Ilsy was predeceased by her husband Vincent Venegas and mother Ligia Restrepo-Ortiz. She is survived by her children Ludmilla (Timothy), Astrid (Ernesto), Maya, and Ricardo (Anairis). Grandchildren: Mary-Helen, Heinrich, Scott (Courtney), Timothy (Courtney), and Kellia (Matthew). And Great Grandchildren: Mary-Angel, Miguel, and Mateo.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

A visitation for Ilsy will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N US 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
