Isaac Alia (“Al”) Chucran, Sr., 93, Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away on August 20, 2016. Al was born in Cebu, Philippines and was a U.S. Navy veteran, fought in the Battle of Bataan and Corregidor and was a Japanese prisoner of war during WWII. After the war, he left the Navy and joined the U.S. Air Force where he deployed for three tours in Vietnam and subsequently retired in 1965. He worked all over the world in the electronics/communications field in military and civilian life working with Philco, RCA, Pan Am and the famed space shuttle program at Cape Canaveral before retiring in 1988. Al is survived by his five children Debra, Isaac, Sheila, Leilani and Michael, son-in-laws Jeffrey and Dale and daughters-in-law Teresa and Jennifer along with grandchildren Christopher, Zackary, Tristan, Chloe, Aidan, Sydney and Abigail and great-grandchildren Madisyn, Jazzabella, Liam, and Brieanna and predeceased by his wife, Betty.
