James W. Drake

Born on April 24, 1948, in Tampa, Florida, Jimmy spent most of his life in Tampa and also resided in North Carolina and Clanton, Alabama. He was well known for his friendly nature and ability to connect easily with others, leaving a lasting impression through his humor and love of life.

Jimmy was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for tennis and basketball. He enjoyed the outdoors and took great pleasure in fishing, traveling, and spending time outside. Remembered for his quick wit and playful personality, he brought laughter and joy to those around him.

He is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey “Jeff” Drake, Michael “Mike” (Cassandra) Drake, and Timothy “Tim” Drake; and his five grandchildren, Haleigh “Nikki” (Brannon) Johnson, Lacey Drake, Andy Drake, Mila Drake, and Sebastian Drake; along with two great grandchildren, Emma and Everleigh Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Nelson Drake and Grace Charlotte Haines Drake.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
