James Zerillo was born on July 20, 1951, in Long Island City, New York, to Felice and James Zerillo. James is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Zerillo. Children: Jimmy (Lorna), Jason, and Jaime Laukhuf (Jason). Siblings: Michael and Roberta Demeo. Grandchildren: Jayden, Emily, and Jameson.
James had a deep love for St. Maarten, where he found peace and joy in the ocean breeze alongside his wife. With a gift for storytelling, he could bring moments to life with vivid details and infectious humor. He treasured simple pleasures—watching movies, sharing laughs, and spending quality time with loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He had a lifelong passion for running restaurants, where he poured his heart into creating memorable experiences for others. Above all, he was deeply committed to his family and took great pride in encouraging his children to follow their dreams, believing that true success came from pursuing what they loved. He was not only a devoted father to his children but also a proud dog dad to Finn and Spencer, cherishing the loyal companionship and unconditional love they brought into his life. His love for his dogs was as boundless as his passion for family and business.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Felice and James Zerillo, and brother, Micheal Zerillo. A celebration of life will be held on April 3rd, 2025, 5 p.m. at Blount and Curry Funeral Home in Oldsmar, Florida. Followed by a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m.
