Our Sunshine Jamie Lynn Bradford, 25, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2025, surrounded by love and held in the comforting arms of her mother, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.
Jamie Lynn had a spirit that no one could ever squash. Even through the hardest days, she remained determined, brave, and unwavering. She never gave up — Her strength was extraordinary, but what defined her most was her heart. Jamie Lynn was a force within her family—steady, loyal, and selfless—always putting others before herself.
Cancer did not define Jamie Lynn. She continued doing the things she loved most and spending time with the people she cared most for. Jamie Lynn loved the snow, and it brought her genuine joy. Snowboarding was one of her greatest passions—something she loved deeply and embraced with the same courage and determination she brought to everything in life. Jamie Lynn proudly considered herself the best athlete in the family, and she truly was. She ran, played golf, and in high school she was on the track team and was a quarterback in flag football. She also enjoyed traveling. She never said no to a fun trip—whether it was across the country or to another country. She truly lived while she was here.
Jamie Lynn was also incredibly creative. She painted, made pottery, and found peace and joy in creating with her hands. She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into something meaningful, and her creative spirit shined through everything she did.
She was an amazing cook and baker, known for meals made with love and skill, and she especially loved baking sour dough in her Cottage Bakery. Jamie Lynn was an inspiration to many for her dedication to healthy eating, and she encouraged others through her example, not just her words. She also had an eye for capturing the perfect moment—friends and family could always count on her to take the best pictures, and her sense of style was second to none.
Jamie Lynn also devoted her time and heart to helping others through her volunteer work with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF). She never missed a chance to support NPCF through fundraising and spreading awareness, determined to bring hope, support, and resources to children and families fighting cancer. Even while facing her own battle, Jamie Lynn remained focused on lifting others up — a true reflection of her selfless spirit and the legacy she leaves behind.
Family meant everything to Jamie Lynn, especially the bond she shared with her brother, Cole. The two were inseparable, and she proudly spent countless hours by his side as his motocross mechanic, supporting him through practices, races, and every moment in between. Their relationship was built on love, teamwork, and a connection that could never be replaced.
Jamie Lynn is survived by her loving family: her mother, Penny Bradford; her father, James Bradford; her brothers, Cole Bradford and Devon Bradford; her sister, Christina McDaniel; her grandfather, Jim Bradford; her grandmother, Patricia Altarac; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also lovingly remembered by the many friends who became family to her—people she loved deeply and who loved her just as fiercely.
Jamie Lynn’s legacy is not defined by illness, but by love—the love she gave freely, the strength she carried, and the joy she brought to our lives. She taught us that bravery can be quiet, that kindness is powerful, and that a life doesn’t have to be long to be meaningful. Though our hearts are broken, we are endlessly grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her. Jamie Lynn will be remembered for her gentle soul, her courageous heart, and the light she brought into the world. We love you, Sunshine.
