

Jasmine Karena (Blocker) McGlinchey, 24, of Sanford, FL, passed away on June 13, 2023 in Sanford. Jasmine was a ray of light in so many people’s lives. She provided professional tutoring, created educational videos, painted beautiful works of art, and wrote touching stories, poems, and letters. She graduated from Alonso High School and earned two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Central Florida. She worked as a crypto and money specialist for Robinhood. She lived with passion that was moving and an inspiration to us all. She changed the trajectory of so many people’s lives for the better in her short years. Jasmine and the impacts she had will never leave the people that had the pleasure to know her, and she will always be remembered and live on with us.
Jasmine is survived by her devoted husband, Dustin McGlinchey; her daughter through a loving union, Annakel McGlinchey; her parents James and Kathi Blocker; her siblings LaShun “Khpri” Way (Eliseo), Pheneva Blocker, Latrice Blocker, Patrice Blocker, James Blocker II; her 4 nieces and 4 nephews; her grandmother, Rebecca Blocker; and a host of friends and family. She is preceded in death by her sister, Danielle Hunter.
A visitation for Jasmine will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 SILVERMILL DR, TAMPA, FL 33635. A visitation will occur Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 6100 Memorial Hwy, Tampa, FL 33615. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 6100 Memorial Highway, Tampa, FL 33615. A committal service will occur Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Garden Of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610.
