

He passed away at 6:05 pm on January 1, 2025 after many years of courageously battling with pulmonary fibrosis. Throughout his battle he showed exceptional strength and his faith in his Lord never wavered. We take solace in the fact that he is resting at peace.
We will forever cherish the memories of his adventurous spirit and great sense of humor.
Jesse was born on October 4, 1947 in Santurce, San Juan municipality, Puerto Rico, USA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Perez-Mandez and Dora del Carmen Guillermety-Llorenz.
He is survived by his daughters Carmen (Peter), Francesca and Veronica (Trung). He is also survived by his brother Rafael (Lupita) and his sister Lillian Ana (Rolf), and grandsons Caton (Litzy) and Miles
Jesse was a veteran of the US Air Force. After graduation from Miguel Such High School in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, with a certification as an FAA aircraft mechanic, he then joined the US Air Force. He started as an Aircraft Mechanic and finished his military career as a Flight Engineer in the C5 Galaxy. He and his family served in bases in Texas, Germany and California.
Dad was a proud Air Force Veteran who loved supporting his local American Legion; in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the Hugh Gilbert Strickland American Legion Post 138, 5535 W Prescott St, Tampa, FL 33616.
