

John E. (Jack) Talman of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Jewell Talman of Venice; one stepson, Derek Seay (Lisa) of Virginia; two step-granddaughters, Katharyn Edwards (Brody) of North Carolina and Samantha Turner (Brandon) of Virginia.
He is also survived by two brothers, Ed Talman (Cheryl) of Bradenton, Florida, and Bobby Talman of Tampa, Florida; one aunt, Debra Gernert of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; as well as several nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Jack was born on September 20,1948 in Asheville, North Carolina.
To the late Chamberlain Edmond Talman and the late Dorothy Anne (Ingalls) Talman.
Jack was a successful businessman from Tampa, owning and operating Talman Tank and Equipment, along with other business ventures. He served in the Armed Forces Reserves and was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Tennessee Volunteers and all Tampa Bay sports teams.
In addition to his love of family and sports, Jack was an accomplished tennis player, golfer, and music enthusiast. He was an animal lover, including his cherished Sammie. Jack played a vital role in rescuing animals in the Tampa area. Jack was an incredible person that would help anyone that would ask him, especially his family.
Jack was well loved and will be missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers please make donations to SPCA of Tampa
A private ceremony will be held with the immediate family.
