

Posadas, Jose Antonio “Tony”, 90, of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Waiting for him in heaven is his devoted wife of 50 years, Isabel, his son, Richard, grand-daughter, Allison, sister, Consuelo and his parents. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Nancy and grandson, Bryan as well as many wonderful family and friends.
After graduating from Jefferson High School, he served in the Air Force as a flight engineer in Korea. He then went to work for Eastern Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. His illustrious career of 33 years ended as a maintenance manager at the Miami Airport. Too young to “quit” working, he retired a second time after 10 years from Hillsborough County Schools Maintenance Department.
He enjoyed many years as a Mason and then as a Patrolman with the Egypt Temple Shrine. In his retirement years he volunteered at the Shrine Hospital repairing wheelchairs for the children.
Tony was a caring husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 19th at 2pm at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Ave Tampa 33610.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children at 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa FL 33609.
