PIASECKI,Lena Cagnina, 100, of Tampa, passed away peacefully in her home with family, June 2, 2016. A first generation Sicilian American, very proud of her heritage and religion, and loved by all who met her. Lena was a long time member of West Tampa Memorial Auxiliary #248, L' Unione Italiana and St Lawrence Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Piasecki. Lena is survived by her loving family: sons, Martin (Sonia) Piasecki, William (Debbie) Piasecki; granddaughters, Christina (Rebecca), Maria (Tim) Thomas; great grandson, Nicholas; grandson, JJ; great grandchildren, David, Trey, Jacob, Mariah and great-great grandchild Aurora. Memorial Contributions can be made to All Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave. Tampa, FL 33614.
