Kay is survived by her sisters, Betty Whirley and Barbara Culbreath of Tampa, daughters, Kelly Blatt (husband Brian), Shari Mills (husband Brad) and Kristin Preus; son, Jeremy Durst (wife Leslie), grandchildren, Bradley Mills (wife Mandy) of Riverview, Jami Moody (husband Josh) of Brandon, Alexandra Blatt, and Andrea Garcia (husband Daniel) of Tampa, Kendall Morris (wife Tristan), Joe Morris, Jessica Zollinger (boyfriend Adam Richardson) of Tennessee, and Adam and Liam Durst of Atlanta, Georgia, Great Grandchildren, Gavin Moody of Brandon, Hudson and Molly Mills of Riverview, Cameron Rowe, Zoey and Hayden Richardson, Elizabeth and Aurora Morris and Benjamin Morris of Tennessee.
Kay was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1942 to Ralph and Rosalie Frame. The youngest of five beautiful daughters. They all settled in Tampa, FL in 1947. She was a Dancero and graduated from H.B. Plant High School, in Tampa, FL in 1960. She called Tampa and Gatlinburg her homes. She was a talented stained-glass artist, quilter and poet. A lover of the beach and all of nature (especially flamingos). She was a collector of shells and friends (and she was darn good at both!) She worked for many years in real estate in Tampa and in Tennessee, owned collectible doll stores in both Tennessee and Tampa, and for 18 years managed her son-in-law, Brian Blatt’s, engineering firm, Power Support Engineering, Inc.
A private memorial, to celebrate Kay’s life, will be held on May 1st.
