Linda M. McCallister passed away on November 5, 2020 after 33 years of battling all the effects of MS. Linda was born March 14, 1948 in Huntington, WV. She was the oldest of 3 children. She was a graduate of H.B. Plant H.S. and continued her education at USF finishing with a Master's Degree. Linda was an elementary School teacher for several years then moved on to begin employment with Tampa General Hospital in their Rehabilitation Department, specializing in spinal cord injuries. She later opened and was the director of the rehabilitation center of New Port Richey. She then was diagnosed with MS and had to retire due to her illness. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Russell F. McCallister and Betty F. McCallister of Tampa. Her forever love Charlie Ferrell of Riverview. Linda is survived by her brother Bob, wife Terri and niece Calle McCallister of Marietta GA, sister Pat, husband Steve McCain of Summerfield, NC, and nephew Chris McCain of Lexington, NC, her guardian Angel and dear friend Kathy Bregler of Tampa. The family would like to thank David Ania and the staff at Wellswood Care Center in Lutz, FL for the outstanding care she was given in the last 3 years of her life. They provided her with love and support. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 10am to 12pm at Blount Curry Macdill, 605 S. Macdill Ave, Tampa. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Sunset Memory Gardens.
