GONZALEZ, Luis Manuel, 95, of Tampa passed away on February 28, 2017. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Maria; his brothers, Jose Gonzalez-Bernacet, Miguel A Gonzalez and his sister, Miguelina Gonzalez. Survivors include his sons, Luis M. Gonzalez Jr., and wife Lidia of Tampa and Helbert Gonzalez and wife Zoraida of Arizona; daughters, Elaine Gonzalez, Nilsa M. Gonzalez, and Ana L. Suchini, all of Tampa; grandchildren, Angela Y. Gonzalez, Marissa L. Suchini, Luis M. Gonzalez III, and Helbert Gonzalez Jr.; great grandson, Logan A Gonzalez.; and many other loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Born in Puerto Rico, Luis and Maria moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1990 from Bridgeport, CT. Family will receive friends from 1-3pm on Sunday, March 12 at the Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa. A funeral will follow at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa to help persons and families in need in his memory.
