Lydia Robinson-Wildman, age 77, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Wednesday December 25, 2019. Lydia, daughter of the late Sigismond ‘Sunny’ Robinson and Lurline Brown was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on June 20, 1942.
In the seventies, she moved her family to the US in pursuit of a better life. She believed in hard work and the importance of an education. She lived by example and made sure these characteristics were instilled into her five children. She worked full time and went to school where she studied relentlessly until she became a Registered Nurse. She was married to Oscar Wildman for donkey years. They were later divorced but remained friends.
Lydia was a Christian and often gave thanks and praise to the Lord. She enjoyed traveling to her favorite destination, Savannah Georgia and also spending time in her Jamaican home with her siblings, full of relaxation and adventure. Some of her favorite pastimes include crocheting, painting and sewing. Her charitable spirit and unselfish heart compelled her to share her blessings by paying them forward even in times of hardship. Her life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 3 ½ greatgrandchildren and numerous others.
