Margaret Ann Bentley

Margaret Bentley (formerly Margaret Ann McCarey, born in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada), 89, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at her residence in Oldsmar, Florida after a short battle with stage four cancer. Surviving is her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Harry. She was also a loving mother to Rhonda Davis and Kelly Furey, a cherished Nana to Heather Furey, Elizabeth Esker, Gilbert Davis IV and Sean Davis. She will be fondly remembered by great grandchildren Quinn Furey and Lois Esker. Margaret will be sadly missed by her sister Patricia Zacher and all her nephews and nieces. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Truman McCarey and Elizabeth Anne Pinchen, four sisters, Ivey, Mary, Shelia, Barb and her brother Ken.

Margaret was an avid sports fan, loved reading fiction books, was the greatest baker and enjoyed doing her puzzles. She always loved cheering on her grandchildren at their soccer games. Margaret was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, she opened her heart to everyone and was the most selfless person. She will be sorely missed!! In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa, FL 33635.
