Avis “Marie” Damuth, age 78, passed away at home on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Tampa, Florida. Her son (Joseph) and daughter (Ruth) were at her side. Marie was born August 31, 1943, in Vicksburg, Mississippi; the eldest daughter of James and Beatrice (Jones) Sneed. Marie grew up in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Walter E. Stebbins Highschool in 1961. She married twice, first to John Theodore Baer and later to Gary Russel Damuth.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents (James Sneed and Beatrice Ransomer), her younger sisters (Joyce (Joseph) Myers and Linda (Dennis) Morgan) and both ex-husbands (Gary Damuth and John Baer). She is survived by her three children; Carolyn Lehman, Ruth Baer and Joseph (Tina) Damuth; four grandchildren (Joshua and Elaina Lehman, Bryce and Eva Damuth), several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law, Dennis Morgan.
