40, of Tampa, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 13th. Matt was born and raised in Tallahassee where he showed an aptitude as an artist from early childhood. He graduated from Florida High School and went on to the Atlanta College of Art. He moved to Tampa Bay in 2000 where he began his work as a successful muralist with his company, Man Made Murals. You can see his work all other the country from Florida to New England to California and locally in Tampa and St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Erika Callahan; son, Logan Callahan; parents Michael “Mick” and Sheila Callahan; his step-mother, Inguna Callahan; siblings, Jim Callahan, of San Francisco, and Tom Callahan, of Washington, D.C.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will conduct memorial service in Cedar Key on Saturday, April 21st at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to LeMoyne Art Gallery, 125 N.
