

With profound love and respect, we announce the passing of Maximo A. Bermudez on June 3, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on May 3, 1948, Maximo's life was a testament to dedication, service, and unwavering love for his family.
Maximo's remarkable journey began when he met his childhood sweetheart, Daisy, during their pre-teen years. Their bond, rooted in deep affection and mutual respect, led to a beautiful marriage on May 28, 1967. Together, they shared 58 years of unwavering partnership, building a family grounded in love and unity.
A proud veteran, Maximo honorably served in the United States Army for 21 years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. His commitment to his country continued as he embarked on a second career with the federal government at MacDill Air Force Base, where he served diligently until his retirement in 2015.
Maximo is survived by his devoted wife, Daisy Bermudez; his daughter, Michelle Welsby, and her husband, Robert Welsby; his son, Manuel Bermudez, and his wife, Donette Bermudez; and his cherished grandchildren: Kayla Welsby, Olivia Bermudez, Savannah Williams, and Sage Williams. His legacy of love, strength, and integrity will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
A Funeral Service with full military honors will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in honoring Maximo's life and service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a veterans' organization of your choice, in memory of Maximo's dedication to his country and fellow servicemen and women.
