

Muriel Jeanne Cox Bradley was called home to be one of God’s angels on Sunday, May 24th, 2015. Muriel was born on November 12th, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to her parents, Charles Albert Cox and Mabel Edith Crawford Cox, both deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Edgar Ballard Bradley Jr. and brother, Gordon Allen Cox. She is survived by her two sons, Edgar Ballard Bradley III of London, England, and Charles Gordon Bradley of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Christine Bradley; and granddaughter, Avery Catherine Bradley. Muriel grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from the Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University with majors in history and geography. It is now known as Case Western Reserve. She was active in her church and participated in a missionary trip to the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in her youth. She worked for years as a classroom teacher in schools around the world due to her husband being in the Air Force and being assigned to various bases. With her husband and two sons, Muriel lived in Izmir, Turkey, London, England, Tacoma, Washington, and settled down in Tampa, Florida. She was an avid traveler and would organize trips with her family to various sites such as Stonehenge, and Stratford upon Avon in England, and Ephesus and Troy in Turkey. She was a lifelong member of the A.A.U.W (America Association of University Women), Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, and the Association of Military Widows. She devoted her life to serving her LORD, to raising and nurturing her family, and to meeting the needs of those around her. She will be loved forever and missed each day. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 29th at 3pm at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial Fund of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church.
