Myriam and I worked together at US Fleet Forces, Norfolk, VA. She was a special colleague, friend and indeed one-of-a-kind.

Rest in Peace...

I met Myriam (then Carey) at Officer Indoctrination School (OIS) in 1989. She was in my Company. I ran into her again in 2003 in our Reserve Unit in Portsmouth, VA. We knew we had met before and finally realized we went to OIS together. I actually have many pictures of her from then. We became very good friends and worked closely in the reserve unit. I actually had the pleasure of promoting her to CDR. I know Bob and I know Nikki. This tragedy saddens me to no end. Myriam was one of the best persons I have ever know. Hard working, honest, straightforward, humorous, dependable and never self serving. She genuinely believed in any cause that she was working on and the people it impacted. I know she is missed already. I am sorry I could not attend her memorial or service today. God bless to her family and to Bob's as well

I know Myriam from her Mother, Myriam Lehr, & Brother, Eric Lehr, & thought of her as family. We got together with her & the family on several occasions & enjoyed her company. My thoughts & prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Vallie, as we called her, you will be dearly missed!!!!

I had the privilege of working with Myriam in 2013. She was admired and respected for her committment to our country and to serving our patients. I am saddened that she was taken away from us at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this devestating time. God Bless.
