Pam earned her Bachelor's degree from Stony Brook University, focusing on education. One of her greatest passions was special education and the Montessori method and her love of learning was evident in everything she did. A devoted homemaker, she created a home filled with warmth, joy, and laughter. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her generous heart, and her commitment to volunteer work—whether at local schools or through her Episcopal church.
Pam had a gift for finding joy in the everyday. Her favorite pastime was sharing belly laughs (often at her own expense) and seeing the humor in life’s most ridiculous moments. She also loved history, gardening, embroidery, sewing, knitting, and all things crafting.
She was a true fighter, and often joked that her extensive medical history could set off every alarm at a security checkpoint. Pam was first diagnosed with Hodgkin’s in her late 20s and faced multiple battles with cancer, her latest including breast and pancreatic cancer. Yet through it all, she remained upbeat, choosing to focus on the bright side, having a strong faith in God, and believing wholeheartedly that laughter was the best medicine. Her resilience amazed even her doctors. Despite her diagnosis, her passing came as a surprise to all—because, deep down, there was a chance she might outlive us all.
Pam is now safely in the hands of our Lord and is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas Reifenheiser; their children, Nate Reifenheiser and Victoria Cox; son-in-law, Matthew Cox; and grandchildren, Sarah, James, and Anastasia Cox. She also leaves behind her three brothers: Jeffrey Torres, Jimmy Torres, and Arthur Torres Jr.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00AM at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, 121 High Street, Mt Holly NJ 08060.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pam's name to Sloan Kettering at the below link.
