

Raymond attended school in Minneapolis and, after high school graduation from Marshall High school, he served 2 years in the military at Fort Carson, Colorado. Ray married Martha Peterson on March 2, 1963. In 1969, Ray graduated from the University of Minnesota and began his career with Cargill Inc. in Gainesville, Georgia as a merchant.
Ray spent most of his years with Cargill in the Corn Milling division. In 1993, he moved from Memphis, Tennessee where he had served as vice president and general manager since 1987, to Tampa, Florida to become President of Cargill Fertilizer. He retired in 2001.
Ray is predeceased by his parents, daughter Robyn Rae, sisters Patricia White, Judy Larson, and Barbara Josephson.
Ray is survived by his wife Martha, son Clint (Nicki) and grandsons Jacob Tepper, Caleb, Noah and Luke Larson, sisters Elaine Schaller, Lois Sowers and brother David (Mary) Larson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was an avid fisherman, loved country music, and boating.
Ray left his family with the largest legacy you can give - love of family, humor, kindness, respect for others, and memories that will follow us forever.
A service will be held on January 28, 2023. Visitation will be from 10-11am, followed by a service at 11am at Blount and Curry in Oldsmar. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (nationalpcf.org)
