Rick was a retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. After 20 years in the Air Force, Rick spent 25 years as a Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office retiring in 2008. Rick was a member of the American Legion Post 0152 and proud of his service and dedication to the United States of America. In his spare time and after retirement Rick loved to build and fix, motorcycles, golf carts, and go-carts. Rick enjoyed working on his car and tinkering in his garage. He was happiest spending time with his children, grandchildren and especially his wife, Linda, of 62 years, whom he loved more than anything.
Rick is survived by his wife Linda J Turosz of Tampa, FL, children; Michele C Turosz and her spouse Paul Paulding of Tampa, FL, Richard P Turosz Jr. and his spouse Jill Turosz of Riverview, FL, Kristen L Turosz-Smith and her spouse Christopher Smith of Racine, WI, grandchildren; Taylor N. Turosz of Tampa, FL and Nicholas R. Smith of Austin, TX. Rick was pre-deceased by his parents Matthew Turosz and Gloria Turose of Auburn, NY and survived by his brother John Turose and sisters Connee Turose, Fran Wiese and Jennifer Turner and their families. Although there was a slight changing of the spelling of the last name after Rick was born whether spelled with an “e” or a “z” the Turosz legacy lives on in the family members who knew and loved him.
