LEIMBACH, Robert Warren, 52 of Myakka City passed away on May 23, 2016 from cancer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Leimbach. Survivors include his devoted parents, Gil and Gwyn Leimbach of Tampa, sister, Jayne Zampa and husband Steve of Tennessee; niece Nicole Tong Shu Leimbach. and her mother, Kelly of Panama City, FL. He was employed at Barney’s Motorcyle and Marine as a Parts Manager for the past 30 years. Rob lived each day to the fullest and had so many wonderful friends, both at Barney’s and in his friends from his Motocross days. During that time he won over 100 trophies. He enjoyed fishing, dirt bike riding and hunting. He was at his happiest when at his home “The Leimbach Ranch” in Myakka – his own “Shangri-La” where he enjoyed the peace and quiet. He was a great lover of animals, both wild and domestic and was also known for his razor sharp sense of humor and one liners. We will all love him and miss him forever, but know that we will all be together again in heaven one day, as promised by our Heavenly Father. A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at 7pm on Friday, May 27 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 8401 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center (http://www.cancer.duke.edu/btc/) in Robert’s memory.
