Sister Mary Winifred (Nellie Solomon), SNJM, entered into eternal life on October 4, 2018. Sister Winifred celebrated over seventy-five years as a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, most of those years as an educator in Florida. Sister is survived by her brother, Norman Solomon and his wife, Dolores; her sister, Gloria Solomon; her nephews, Lawrence and Patrick Crimmins, and George W. Solomon, Jr.; her nieces, Cheryle Alexander, Janis Montejo, Karen Solomon, Nellie Ellen Solomon, Lynne Williams, Patricia Rodriguez, and Pamela Prado. She is preceded in death by her brothers Leopold, Jr., George and Joseph; her sister, Joan Crimmins; and niece, Sharon Kent.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Blessed Marie Rose Durocher Chapel at the Academy of the Holy Names on Saturday, October 13, at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am.
