The original GOAT to his wife and kids born on July 17, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Troy took his final breath on this earth after a 14 month battle with cancer at 6:52 am on Monday, August 23, 2021 surrounded by his wife and family both blood and blue.
Troy loved his mama's southern cooking, movie nights with his wife, his kids and granddaughters, making people laugh, loved his best fur girl Nova and his Murphy, a cold Miller Lite, his friends and family, family dinners and his boat, but not necessarily in that order.
The world shines less bright without him in it but we are certain Heaven is a lot funnier with him there. Troy left this earth a loved man. He was a man of service and had an unshakeable conviction, a man of integrity and honor. All dogs approved of him without exception and he loved them all equally.
He lived a life well lived and never knew a stranger. Troy lived for his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He would stop whatever he was doing to help somebody and could build anything. Troy's favorite thing to say was "'Yes Dear" because he lived everyday to make his wife happy.
Troy served his country in more ways than one, where he served in the United States Army for 3 years where he was Honorably Discharged as Staff Sergeant "RLTW". He went on to serve the citizens of the City of Tampa retiring in 2015 as a Master Patrol Officer with 26 years of valiant service with the Tampa Police Department. The majority of his career was spent in K9 with faithful partners Chase and Repo. Troy received the Tampa Police Department Medal of Honor in May 1998 after rescuing a man from a burning tractor trailer.
He leaves behind not only a legacy but his loving wife Jennifer of 29 years, his daughter Whitney and son in law Zach. The lights of his life, his granddaughters Peyton and Harper. His amazing boys Andrew and Hunter who both followed in his footsteps with a life of service. Andrew went on to continue his legacy in law enforcement and Hunter joined the United States Army. His children could have not made him any prouder.
He also leaves behind his parents (Retired) Colonel Bev and Betty Neal, his sisters Kathy, Linda and Donna, his fabulous nieces and nephews, in laws and his many beautiful friends.
K9-14 rest easy my love, we will take it from here but know you will never be forgotten.
